Head of Environment & Archaeology Department
Job description
Our company, a prestigious company in the field of civil engineering construction, is hiring a HEAD OF ENVIRONMENT & ARCHAEOLOGY DEPARTMENT for our team in the East of the country, involved in highway projects, with the following responsibilities within the assigned project:
1. Environmental Management System (EMS) Management
2. Legal Compliance, Permits, and Relations with Local Environmental Authorities
3. Monitoring, Auditing, and Continuous Improvement
4. Project Waste Management
5. Project Environmental Operational Planning and Control
6. Emergency Situations and Risk Management
7. Reporting and Data Administration
8. Responsibilities Regarding Archaeological Research and Cultural Heritage Protection
Requirements:
· Education: University degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biology, or Ecology. Knowledge of heritage legislation is a major advantage.
· Certifications: Waste Management Responsible or Environmental Auditor.
· Experience: Minimum 5 years in coordinating environmental policies on large construction or infrastructure projects.
· Skills: Rigorous negotiation, stress resistance, and crisis management (e.g., unblocking construction sites halted due to archaeological reasons).
Total Previous Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience as ENVIRONMENT & ARCHAEOLOGY MANAGER
- Previous experience in CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS constitutes an advantage. (please mention the construction projects you have been involved in previously).
