Security Officer – Winter Road (GK Spur Road) – Fly-In / Fly-Out – Northwest Territories

Scarlet Security & Risk Group is currently seeking experienced Security Officers to support operations on the Winter Road in the Northwest Territories (NWT).

This is a remote Fly-In/Fly-Out (FIFO) assignment running from February 12, 2026 to March 25, 2026. Successful candidates will play a critical role in maintaining safety, security, and operational integrity in a demanding northern environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security presence and control access along Winter Road operations
• Monitor vehicle movements, checkpoints, and restricted areas
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and operational issues as required
• Conduct patrols and maintain situational awareness at all times
• Communicate effectively with operations teams and site leadership
• Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Enforce site rules, safety protocols, and security procedures

Qualifications

• Background in Law Enforcement, Police Services, or the Canadian Armed Forces
• Valid Canadian Driver's License
• Ability to work in a remote Fly-In/Fly-Out (FIFO) environment
• Availability to commit to 21-28 consecutive day rotations
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Physically and mentally capable of working in harsh winter and remote conditions
• Strong communication, situational awareness, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to complete criminal record check and occupational medical testing
