Security Guard Full Time North York General Hospital

$20.03/hour | Full-Time | Continental Rotating Schedule

Paladin Security is hiring a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join the team at North York General Hospital Leslie. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Conduct routine patrols of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, and entrances.
• Monitor and operate security cameras and alarm systems.
• Control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are admitted.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, assisting staff during medical or security incidents.
• Greet and assist visitors, providing directions and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• De-escalate tense situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and security reports.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement for coordinated security efforts.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses).
• Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, and 2-step TB skin test).
• Valid G-class driver’s license.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Ability to work a Continental Rotating Schedule.

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
