Security Engineer (VN2690)

The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Reporting to the COO, Technology provides a wide range of services including infrastructure, architecture, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, support, and monitoring. This role is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Marex's technology systems, networks, and data. The ideal candidate will have experience in security engineering, with a strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies. They should be able to design, implement, and maintain secure solutions that meet business requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and standards • Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans • Implementing and managing security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption • Collaborating with other teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the technology stack • Providing training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices • Staying up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to continuously improve security posture. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in security engineering, with experience in areas such as network security, cloud security, identity and access management, and data encryption. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
