Security Analyst L2 (Anti-DDoS)
Job description
Role and Responsibilities
The resource, integrated into the SOC team, will be responsible for managing complex security incidents.
The role is predominantly focused on the management of the Arbor (Netscout) anti-DDoS platform, which constitutes the preponderant part of daily activity.
Specifically:
- Management and analysis of complex security incidents (post-L1 triaging)
- Configuration and management of the Arbor (Netscout) platform: configuration of host detection and mitigation templates, tuning of alarms and thresholds, implementation of mitigation rules, anti-DDoS analysis
- SIEM management: analysis of complex incidents, configuration of correlations, dashboards and alarms, tuning activities
- Preparation of reporting on managed incidents
- Preparation and monitoring of service reference KPIs
Technologies Used
- SIEM: McAfee, Splunk
- Anti-DDoS: Netscout Arbor
Required Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of the Netscout Arbor Anti-DDoS solution is mandatory; candidates without this competence will not be considered.
- Previous experience in SOC/security analyst roles
- Practical knowledge of SIEM platforms (McAfee, Splunk)
- Ability to analyze complex incidents and problem-solving skills
- Good technical writing skills (reports, KPI documentation)
- Good knowledge of the English language
What we offer?
- Permanent employment contract with the application of the Metalworking Industry National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).
- For this position, a salary range of € 35,000 - € 45,000 gross per year is foreseen in accordance with the applied CCNL and the professional level envisaged by the reference grids for the proposed professional role.
- The positioning within the range will be determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including the experience gained and the level of technical skills relevant to the proposed role.
