Seafreight & Airfreight Import Controller - Freight Logistics

Description

RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading freight logistics company to fill the position of Seafreight & Airfreight Import Controller. As an Import Controller, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the import process for both seafreight and airfreight shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth and efficient import operations for both seafreight and airfreight shipments.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate import documentation and customs clearance.
• Monitor shipment status and address any delays or issues proactively.
• Handle invoicing, billing, and payment processes related to import shipments.
• Maintain up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in freight logistics, specifically in seafreight and airfreight import operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in relevant software and systems used in freight logistics.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
