Job description
We are looking for a Farm Manager to join our pig farming operation. Reporting to the Production Manager or Farm Manager, their main tasks and functions will be:
-Management of a human team of 10 workers
-Control of raw material stock (medications, feed, insemination doses…)
-Control of animal entry and exit.
-Detect and report needs and improvements for production optimization.
-Programming and operation of automated systems.
-Responsible for complying with and ensuring compliance with Biosecurity, Animal Welfare, and Occupational Risk Prevention protocols.
-Responsible for alarms and monitoring of incidents that occur.
-Responsible for the assembly/disassembly and preparation of the farm for animal entry and exit.
-Coordinate and supervise basic maintenance tasks and slurry management.
Requirements:
-Minimum experience of 18 months performing tasks and functions as a Sow Farm Manager, preferably on a farm of similar characteristics and size (2400 sows).
-Availability to work one in every two weekends (rotating and only during Saturday and Sunday morning shifts). -Responsible person with teamwork skills, incident resolution abilities, and capacity to work autonomously.

-Immediate hiring and job stability - Permanent full-time contract, with a 40-hour weekly workload distributed from Monday to Sunday (morning shifts), including legal rest periods.

Valued:
-Degree in Veterinary Medicine
-Intermediate or Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Agricultural and Livestock Business Management and Organization, Livestock Farming and Animal Assistance, or similar.
-Course on Animal Welfare in pigs and certificate of handler of agricultural pesticides/biocides.
-Tractor driver course
