ShareChat (Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd) is India’s largest homegrown social media company and the only local player to achieve profitability in the industry, with 200 million Monthly Monetizable Users across all its platforms. Founded in 2015, ShareChat has social media brands such as the ShareChat App and Moj App and micro drama app QuickTV under its portfolio. QuickTV, the newest addition to ShareChat's family of apps, crossed the 10 million downloads mark within 3 months. We are looking for a talented SDE-2 who can join our team and contribute to building innovative products that make a difference in people’s lives. As an SDE-2 at ShareChat, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, develop technical roadmaps, and collaborate with other engineers to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. Your responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing new features and enhancements for our products • Collaborating with the product team to define and prioritize project requirements • Developing and maintaining high-quality software applications using various programming languages and technologies • Troubleshooting and debugging issues in code, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes • Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools and frameworks. What we are looking for: • 2+ years of experience as a software developer or SDE-1/SDE-2 • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, etc. • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
