Screed Operator - Construction Industry

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Screed Operator to join their team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an urgent role within the construction industry for a skilled individual with heavy-duty equipment experience. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to high-quality project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Operate screed machinery for road and pavement construction

• Ensure accurate leveling and smooth application of materials

• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery

• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure project timelines are met

• Adhere to all safety and operational procedures on-site

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating screed machines in the construction industry

• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty and earthmoving equipment

• Welding and fabricating experience is advantageous

• Red Seal certification will be a bonus

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
