Scrap Metal Belt Picker

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Belt Picker to join our Steel Recycling Centre. As a Belt Picker, you will play a critical role in the recycling process by sorting and segregating scrap metal materials on conveyor belts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and remove non-metal materials from the conveyor belt
• Sort and segregate ferrous and non-ferrous metals into designated containers
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management
  
  Qualifications
• Previous experience in a recycling or waste management facility preferred
• Ability to differentiate between different types of metals
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols
• Reliable and punctual

• Work on conveyor belt line, sorting and segregating metals
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective material sorting
• Communicate with supervisors and maintenance staff regarding any issues
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
