The School and Role

ABC Teachers are working with a number of primary and SEND schools across Birmingham to recruit reliable and friendly School Catering Assistants to support their kitchen and lunchtime food service teams.

These roles are ideal for individuals who live locally to B12, B5 or B25 and are looking for part-time, term-time work within a school environment.

As a School Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation and serving of healthy meals, ensure high standards of hygiene, and help create a positive dining experience for pupils. Some schools support pupils with additional needs, so patience, understanding, and a caring approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards

• Support safe food handling procedures

• Help set up and clear dining areas

• Work as part of a friendly kitchen team

• Support pupils during mealtimes where required

As a School Catering Assistant with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive:

Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
