Morgan Creek Seniors Community is seeking a part time Scheduler who will be is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all staff scheduling functions for the site to ensure consistent, safe, and compliant staffing coverage across nursing and support services. The role ensures schedules align with funded hours, collective agreement requirements, and operational needs. The Scheduler maintains real-time schedule accuracy, manages short-call coverage, processes staff requests, and communicates promptly and professionally with employees and leadership.

Position Details:

• Prepare and maintain master schedules in alignment with funded hours, collective agreements, and site requirements.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing rosters.
• Manage urgent shift replacements due to sick calls, call-outs, or emergent absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to ensure safe, consistent, and contract-compliant staffing coverage.

• Manage daily staffing needs, including short-call replacements, sick calls, and urgent coverage gaps.

• Communicate promptly and professionally with staff and leadership regarding schedule changes, availability, and staffing issues.

• Maintain accurate scheduling records, including availability, seniority, vacations, and entitlements in accordance with policy and collective agreements.

What We’re Looking For:We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with a strong background in health-care or unionized environments, someone who understands the urgency and complexity of staffing in a 24/7 care setting. The ideal candidate brings proven experience managing master rotations, short-call coverage, and collective agreement requirements, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and professionally, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and can build positive working relationships with staff and leadership.
