Scheduler
Job description
Dalkia UK are looking for an organised and proactive Scheduler to join our team. Working closely with the management team, you will play a key role in ensuring all engineering tasks are planned, scheduled, and completed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Previous experience isn’t essential, but you will need to be confident, methodical, and an effective communicator. You’ll be responsible for coordinating directly employed and subcontracted engineers, while also providing professional and timely updates to customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong planning and customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure tasks are only allocated to suitably qualified and competent engineers or subcontractors, seeking guidance where required.
- Allocate work to engineers and subcontractors and liaise with clients to ensure attendance and completion targets are met.
- Monitor job progress, ensure tasks are completed on time, record mitigations where necessary, programme follow-on work, and escalate issues to management.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely updates to customers regarding job progress.
- Escalate both positive and negative performance issues relating to engineers or subcontractors to the supervisor.
- Review tasks before allocation and highlight any work that is out of scope or chargeable.
- Leadership:
- Represent Dalkia’s guiding principles and act with integrity at all times.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Good levels of numeracy, literacy, and spoken English.
- Experience in a customer-facing, planning, scheduling, or logistics role.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
- Experience building and maintaining collaborative client relationships.
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- A strong customer-focused mindset.
