The NCI Agency has been established with a view to meeting the collective requirements of some or all NATO nations in the fields of capability delivery and service provision related to Consultation, Command & Control as well as Communications, Information and Cyber Defence functions, thereby also facilitating the integration of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Target Acquisition functions and their associated information exchange The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is the technology and cyber arm of NATO. We connect people, information and ideas. We deliver secure, deployable and interoperable communications and information systems to enable consultation, command and control in NATO and with its partners. The NCI Agency operates and defends NATO's networks, provides cyber security expertise, develops software applications and provides expert advice to help NATO Nations work together more effectively. We are recruiting for a SATCOM Technical Support Services position. Summary of the role: * Provide technical support and expertise to SATCOM systems and services. * Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SATCOM infrastructure. * Collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth functioning of SATCOM operations. * Support the implementation of new SATCOM technologies and upgrades. Responsibilities: * Provide technical support for SATCOM systems, including but not limited to: * Satellite terminals * Modems * Network infrastructure * Encryption devices * Monitor the performance of SATCOM systems and identify issues. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to SATCOM operations. * Perform routine maintenance and updates on SATCOM equipment. * Assist in the configuration and testing of new SATCOM systems. * Create and maintain technical documentation for SATCOM systems. * Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure interoperability and integration. * Stay up-to-date with the latest SATCOM technologies and trends. * Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support. * Interface with external vendors and suppliers. * Participate in training and development activities. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, computer science). * Relevant experience in SATCOM systems and operations. * Strong understanding of satellite communications principles and technologies. * Experience with satellite terminals, modems, and network infrastructure. * Knowledge of encryption devices and protocols. * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Willingness to travel and work in different locations. * Hold, or be able to obtain, a NATO Secret security clearance.
