Over de functie

As a sales assistant, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through your store to actively sell our products and provide customer support and guidance. You use your fashion and product knowledge to give customers all the relevant information they need for the best experience. You also take care of replenishing and maintaining clothing, presentation, and contributing to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house. You work closely with the rest of your store team to provide an excellent customer experience.

Working at H&M means that no day is the same, but a typical day consists of the following responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service: welcome and guide customers through the store & OMNI experience as soon as it's available, support them with direct customer service.
• Be prepared to engage in conversations with customers to provide excellent service
• Guide customers through our fashion trends, stories & products throughout the store
• Sell our products effectively to customers
• Actively promote and sell our loyalty app (Hello Member) & sustainability initiatives in-store
• Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during all interactions with customers
• Support the store management team in commercial or operational actions to achieve sales targets

• Stay up-to-date with the fashion landscape, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers, etc.
• Use your product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers.

Team & Ontwikkeling

• Maintain and share your knowledge and skills in the areas of service, fashion, and store activities with colleagues
• FOLLOW ALL PROCEDURES, ROUTINES, AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS IN ALL AREAS OF THE STORE
• Give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop, and support each other
• Participate in relevant available Onboarding, introduction processes & training courses that are relevant for your role and future development

Retail Operations/ Visuele & Commerciële uitvoering

• Complete the full clothing cycle from unpacking and replenishing to steaming and taking care of good clothing maintenance
• Operate cash registers and counters according to best practices and procedures
• Contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house (including storage rooms)
• Support in-store clothing presentation, execution, and maintenance of attractive displays, clear trends, and stories according to visual and commercial guidelines
• Maintain good inventory levels with replenishment routines on the sales floor
• Follow best practices for all in-store OMNI Services & in-store technical services/tools, etc (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store etc)
• SUPPORT IN THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE STORE
• FOLLOW ALL H&S GUIDELINES AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS THAT APPLY TO THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
