Safety Inspector (m/w/d)

Safety has top priority at FlixTrain. As a Safety Inspector, you monitor the compliance of our operational standards directly on site, conduct inspections, and ensure that regulations are consistently implemented – in everyday life as well as in exceptional situations.

You act with high professional competence, finger-tip feeling, and clear stance at the interface between operations, employees, and authorities.

About the Role

• Conducting surveillance rides on our trains for all operational functions
• Evaluation and documentation of operational qualifications, including pre- and post-processing as well as regulatory-compliant documentation
• Analysis, follow-up, and processing of operational irregularities, including cause analysis
• Communication and coordination with authorities and internal stakeholders
• Occasional takeover of EVU emergency duty
• Evaluation of external qualification certificates and decision on their recognition
• Maintenance and updating of operational personnel records

About You

• Very secure mastery of railway operating regulations, including European regulations and border regions
• Completed training as a locomotive driver
• Experience in dealing with passengers and safety-relevant situations
• High travel readiness throughout Germany
• Readiness to work on weekends, holidays, and at night
• Readiness to take over call-up duties
• Outstanding communicative sensitivity in dealing with employees and authorities
