Safety & Compliance Engineer (m/w/d)

Tasks

As Safety & Compliance Engineer, you ensure that our systems are safe and our processes comply with laws. You are responsible for System Safety, Export Control and Authorization Management and serve as a contact person for authorities – a role with real responsibility in the military technology environment.

• You conduct FHA-, FMEA- and FTA-analyses
• You are responsible for Export Control and Authorization Management
• You create safety concepts for test stands and flight tests
• You communicate with authorities and relevant parties
• You build Compliance processes and maintain them
• You support certification and release processes

Qualification

• Completed degree in engineering, law or a comparable field
• Knowledge of German export control law for weapon systems (AWG, KWKG)
• Experience with system safety methods
• Structured, documentation-oriented working style and understanding of complex technical systems
• Experience with the BAAINBw, Luftfahrt- or security authorities is advantageous
• ITAR and international Compliance experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of military development and approval processes is advantageous
• Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills
• Nationality of an EU or NATO member state (excluding USA) and willingness to undergo a security check according to SÜG
