Department Head (m/w/d) Business Accounting

The District of Rostock is located in the middle between Copenhagen and Berlin, Hamburg and Stettin. With an area of 3431 km², the District of Rostock is the fourth largest district in Germany by land area. The locations of the county administration are the district seat Güstrow and the branch office Bad Doberan. In the Office for Finance and Controlling, we are looking for a Department Head (m/w/d) Business Accounting on a full-time basis (39 hours/week) or part-time (at least 35 hours/week). The position is responsible for the financial accounting of the district administration, including the preparation of annual financial statements, budget planning, and financial reporting. The tasks include the coordination of the accounting department, the supervision of employees, and the implementation of accounting processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in business administration or a related field, several years of experience in financial accounting, and knowledge of accounting software such as SAP.
