Job description
Clerk for Benefits and Settlements (80-100%)
Do you want to get involved? We give you room to maneuver. Do you think ahead? We support you in doing so. Together we are shaping the future for our customers! Interested?
The IV office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is committed to a modern corporate and leadership culture. The Service Center, as the service center of the IV office Bern, ensures that processes, services, and benefits are provided efficiently, uniformly, and with high quality.
The Benefits & Settlements Team ensures the efficient processing of invoices and benefit claims. In your role as a clerk, you ensure that benefits are paid out in accordance with legal provisions.
What you can achieve with us
You ensure that invoices in the IV sector are carefully checked and that benefits can be paid out quickly, correctly, and understandably.
You check invoices not only formally but also substantively: you recognize whether benefits match the cost approval, whether tariffs have been applied correctly, and whether everything is fully documented.
You clarify queries independently, communicate clearly with internal and external contacts, and contribute to the quick resolution of outstanding issues.
You are an important point of contact for insured persons, doctors, hospitals, medical supply companies, and other partners, and your work directly contributes to a reliable and customer-oriented service.
What skills are important to us
You have completed training in a commercial or paramedical field and ideally have 1-2 years of professional experience.
Friendly and clear communication in German and oral proficiency in Swiss German (B1) characterize you.
With a dedicated and self-directed work style, you maintain an overview even in stressful situations and set priorities profitably for our customers.
Empathy, appreciation, and collegiality are self-evident to you.
Thanks to your flexibility, you remain calm even in hectic moments.
You are motivated to contribute to this exciting task.
We are a bilingual (German-Swiss German) company, so active knowledge of the respective other language is desired.
Benefits
Working hours:
Annual working hours (42 hours / week), possibility of part-time and mobile work, paid breaks
Holidays:
At least 25 days of vacation per year, 28 days from the age of 45, and 33 days from the age of 55. Possibility of unpaid leave
Salary:
Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and transparent salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military service, civil defense, and civil service
Social security:
Super-partisan contribution to the Bern Pension Fund, assumption of half the premium for non-occupational accident insurance, supplementary accident insurance, and daily sickness allowance insurance
Training and further education: Financial and/or time participation in training and further education projects
Health:
Ergonomically furnished workplaces, free fruit, subsidized meals in the in-house restaurant, relaxation room, on-site massage facility, participation in fitness activities, and rental bicycles
