Financial Accountant (m/w/d)

We are looking for you as a Financial Accountant (m/w/d) in direct placement for an established and family-owned medium-sized B2B company in Essen with over 100 years of company history. You can expect a challenging financial accountant role, a stable environment, a well-established team, and a hybrid work model. Additionally, the company will move to modern new office spaces in Essen by 2026 with sufficient space for further colleagues, including yourself!

Tasks

• Participation in ongoing financial accounting in the corporate environment
• Billing of business transactions in SAP (creditors, debtors, main book)
• Responsible asset accounting
• Preparation of value-added tax returns
• Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Account reconciliations and clarification of open items
• Closely working with creditor and debtor accounting
• Frequent exchange with the commercial management, support for ad-hoc topics

Qualification

• Commercial training, ideally with further education as a certified accountant (m/w/d) or equivalent
• Multiple years of experience in financial and/or asset accounting, preferably in the corporate context
• Absolutely secure handling of SAP in accounting
• Very good knowledge of accounting and value-added tax
• Structured, reliable work style and team orientation
