Release Train Engineer
Job description
We are looking for a Release Train Engineer who will lead and optimize execution within our Agile Release Trains (ART) and Solution Trains (ST), ensuring alignment between priorities, team capacity, and business value delivery.
You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the execution of Program Increments (PI), promoting collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and ensuring visibility on progress, dependencies, risks, and impediments.
We seek your ability to anticipate deviations, mobilize teams to resolve them, and facilitate necessary decisions promptly to keep commitments under control.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate PI Planning, including pre-planning and post-planning activities.
- Establish and coordinate the ART/ST iteration and event calendar.
- Track PI execution and Feature and Capability progress, promptly identifying deviations and recovery actions.
- Identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies, escalating those that may compromise objectives in a timely manner.
- Facilitate synchronization events such as ART Sync, ST Sync, System/Solution Demo, and Inspect & Adapt.
- Coordinate and track Scrum Masters and involved teams, ensuring clarity on commitments, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Promote collaboration and alignment among Architecture, Product/Solution Management, Product Owners, and key stakeholders.
- Provide visibility to leaders and stakeholders on progress, risks, and impacts, facilitating the decisions required to maintain execution.
- Track relevant changes that impact PI commitments, ensuring their evaluation and communication to the involved teams.
- Track assigned budget and team capacity, promptly identifying potential deviations.
- Drive agility practices and continuous improvement within the teams.
What are we looking for?
- Completed Bachelor's Degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in positions such as Scrum Master, Project Manager, Agile Coach, or related roles.
- Experience in project and product management under agile frameworks.
- Knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Experience facilitating multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage dependencies, risks, priorities, and deliverables in complex environments.
- Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Experience leading or coordinating teams; the position will have between 4 and 7 direct reports.
