Risk Management Specialist - Natural Resources
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Mapped all potential risks that could affect the project (e.g. delays, technical failures, environmental problems, scope changes, accidents).
- Used techniques such as brainstorming, analysis of previous projects, expert interviews, and historical data consultation.
- Evaluated the probability of occurrence and impact of each identified risk.
- Categorized risks by criticality (high, medium, low) to prioritize actions.
- Used qualitative methods (risk matrix) and quantitative methods (simulations, scenario analysis).
- Defined strategies for each risk: avoid, transfer, mitigate or accept.
- Developed contingency plans for critical risks.
- Assigned responsible individuals for each response action.
- Implemented planned actions to mitigate or respond to risks.
- Ensured all involved parties were aware of their responsibilities.
- Continuously monitored risks throughout the project.
- Updated the risk register as new risks emerged or conditions changed.
- Held regular meetings to review risk status and response effectiveness.
- Integrated data to predict and anticipate structural, execution, and supply chain risks.
