RF Device Characterization Engineer

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, industrial control systems, consumer electronics, and IoT devices. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented RF Device Characterization Engineer to join our team. As an RF Device Characterization Engineer at Tata Electronics, you will be responsible for characterizing and testing RF devices, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas, using various test equipment such as vector network analyzers (VNA), signal generators, and spectrum analyzers. Responsibilities: • Design and develop test plans and procedures for characterizing and testing RF devices. • Conduct experiments and measurements to characterize the performance of RF devices, including gain, noise figure, and frequency response. • Analyze data and prepare reports on the results of device characterization tests. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that test plans and procedures are aligned with product requirements. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in RF device characterization and testing. • Strong understanding of RF devices, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas. • Experience with test equipment such as vector network analyzers (VNA), signal generators, and spectrum analyzers. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
