RETREAT MANAGER – TENERIFE

We are building a premium retreat business in Tenerife – a place where people come to breathe, move, and reconnect, amidst the ocean, volcanic landscapes, and a different pace of life.

For this experience to run flawlessly every day, we need a manager who can coordinate the entire location, elevate standards, and transform each retreat into a memorable experience.

YOUR ROLE

You will have direct responsibility for daily operations and the experience offered to each participant.

Specifically, you will:

• coordinate all operational activities of the retreat;
• lead, develop, and maintain a cohesive local team;
• manage relationships with local suppliers and partners, from negotiation to quality control of services;
• monitor the participant experience, from the first message to departure;
• anticipate and quickly resolve issues before they affect the guest experience;
• monitor costs, occupancy rates, and key performance indicators for the business's health;
• collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to increase occupancy and revenue;
• contribute to defining, implementing, and standardizing the experience, ensuring service levels remain consistent.

THE REALITY OF THE ROLE

This is a dynamic, demanding, and fully on-site role. You will simultaneously coordinate people, suppliers, participants, and unforeseen situations. Days will not be the same, and results will depend on your ability to see the big picture without losing sight of important details.

If you desire a completely predictable schedule, from 09:00 to 17:00, this is probably not the right role for you.

• You have experience in coordinating people and operations;
• You are an involved manager who dives into details and does not manage solely from an office;
• You are highly organized and can make quick decisions under pressure;
• You are equally oriented towards customer experience and business results;
• You communicate clearly, build relationships, and know how to maintain standards;
• You take responsibility and look for solutions, not excuses.

Experience in hospitality, retreats, wellness, tourism, event organization, operations, or customer experience is a significant advantage.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• You speak Spanish and can use it daily in your interactions with the team, suppliers, and the local community;
• You are fluent in English;
• You can work on-site in Tenerife and are available to relocate or already live on the island.

The role is not remote and not hybrid.
