Position: Retail Manager (Full-Time)

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

Meadows Mini Mart is a local community supermarket located in Meadows, South Australia, providing a wide range of grocery items, dairy products, fresh produce, meat, ready-to-go coffee, soft drinks, confectionery, hot pies, and other convenience products. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store and ensure excellent customer service and efficient business performance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the mini supermarket, ensuring smooth and efficient store activities.
• Plan and manage product selection, stock levels, and ordering requirements to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Develop and implement sales, marketing, and promotional strategies to increase store sales.
• Monitor product pricing, promotions, and special offers to maximise business performance.
• Provide excellent customer service, assist customers with product enquiries, and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Manage sales transactions, maintain financial records, and monitor daily business activities.
• Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and assist in achieving store financial targets.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, sales, wastage, and inventory movements.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support retail staff to ensure high standards of service and store operations.
• Prepare staff rosters and manage employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety requirements, and retail industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
• Oversee the display and presentation of grocery items, fresh produce, dairy products, and convenience food products.
• Work towards improving customer satisfaction, increasing sales, and supporting the growth of the business.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience working in a retail management or similar retail supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, purchasing, and customer service.
• Experience managing staff and coordinating daily store activities.
• Good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a busy retail environment.

Qualification Requirements:

• A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Leadership and Management, Marketing, or a related field is mandatory.
