We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team at Klemms News Agency in Mildura. This is a great opportunity to manage a well-established and reputable retail business offering a range of products and services, including newspapers, magazines, TattsLotto, stationery, gifts, and more.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the store’s daily operations. Your duties will include:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the newsagency and retail store

Supervising and training staff, preparing rosters, and ensuring adequate staffing at all times

Delivering high-quality customer service and resolving customer issues efficiently

Managing stock levels, ordering inventory, receiving deliveries, and liaising with suppliers

Ensuring full compliance with Tatts Lotto operations and procedures

Managing daily cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, and banking in an accurate and secure manner

Monitoring store presentation, cleanliness, merchandising, and promotional activities

Preparing and reviewing sales reports, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to meet sales targets

Enforcing workplace safety policies and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational standards

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a retail supervisory or management position

Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Sound understanding of stock control, inventory systems, and supplier management

Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and managing daily cash reconciliations

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
