About the Role

Cellarbrations at Port Pirie is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our liquor retail store located in Risdon Park, South Australia.

This is a full-time, hands-on management position responsible for overseeing store operations, stock and inventory control, purchasing, customer service, staff supervision and the overall performance of the store.

Key Responsibilities

* Organise and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
* Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and customer service standards.
* Manage purchasing, stock ordering, receiving, inventory control and replenishment.
* Monitor product pricing and implement store promotions and marketing activities.
* Monitor sales performance, operating expenses and store budgets.
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales and financial transactions.
* Provide high-quality customer service and appropriate product advice.
* Recruit, train, roster, supervise and support retail staff.
* Monitor staff performance and maintain high customer service and workplace standards.
* Liaise with suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships.
* Maintain store presentation and ensure efficient retail operations.
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and applicable retail and liquor licensing requirements.

Skills and Experience required

* An AQF Diploma in Business, Hospitality Management, or a relevant field.
* A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail operations and/or retail management.
* Strong staff management, leadership and customer service skills.
* Experience in purchasing, stock control and inventory management.
* Sound understanding of budgeting, sales performance and general retail operations.
* Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.
* Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
* Ability to meet applicable licensing and regulatory requirements associated with working in liquor retail.
