The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless and positive dining experience for every guest. This role involves leading and managing the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of customer service, and collaborating with the kitchen to ensure efficient and effective service. Rostering includes weekends, evenings.
Key Responsibilities
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless and positive dining experience for every guest. This role involves leading and managing the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of customer service, and collaborating with the kitchen to ensure efficient and effective service. Rostering includes weekends, evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional customer service by proactively addressing guest concerns, resolving complaints, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Reservations and Seating: Manage the reservation system, optimize seating arrangements, and ensure efficient table turnover.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of beverages, condiments, and other front-of-house supplies. Place orders, track deliveries, and minimize waste.
- Collaboration with Kitchen: Maintain open communication with the kitchen team to ensure smooth order flow, accurate preparation, and timely service.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations. - Financial Management: Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenses, and manage cash handling procedures.
- Experience: 3-5 years of management experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a restaurant environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating positive guest experiences.
- Inventory and Financial Skills: Strong understanding of inventory management principles and basic financial concepts.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
