Project and Business Development Manager

The Project and Business Development Manager manages a portfolio of aeronautical businesses, from identifying client needs to delivery and performance monitoring. Acting as the interface between clients and Sogeclair Composite teams, this role combines technical expertise, project management skills, and commercial acumen to grow the business, secure commitments, and ensure client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and retain the client portfolio, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the commercial action plan.

• Understand and challenge the client's technical needs to propose a suitable, competitive, and achievable solution.

• Manage responses to calls for tender: scoping, costing, planning, risk analysis, offer preparation, and presentation.

• Negotiate technical and commercial conditions, in coordination with Management and support functions.

• Manage special projects from their launch to closure: objectives, resources, budget, schedule, quality, risks, and deliverables.

• Serve as the primary client contact, prepare and lead business reviews, and ensure regular reporting.

• Coordinate internal Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for their projects.

• Track revenue, margin, invoicing, and variances, and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Identify evolving needs, upselling opportunities, and medium-term development opportunities.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Sogeclair Composite's project and commercial practices.

Requirements

• Solid mastery of industrial project or program management, ideally in aeronautics.

• Good understanding of technical, industrial, and quality environments to engage with subject matter experts.

• Ability to build a techno-commercial offer, negotiate, and secure contractual commitments.

• Proficiency in the economic monitoring of a business: revenue, costs, margin, invoicing, and forecasts.

• Transversal leadership, client focus, decision-making ability, rigor, autonomy, and results orientation.

• Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Profile Sought

Engineering degree or technical Master's degree (Bac+5), complemented by a strong commercial sensibility. Proven experience in managing projects, programs, or businesses in an industrial environment. Experience in dealing with aeronautical clients and in the production of parts or sub-assemblies is an asset.
