The LRBPO engages a full-time Marketing and Communication Officer (CDD) (with possibility of CDI) (m/f)
The Royal Belgian League for the Protection of Birds (LRBPO) has been working since 1922 to study and protect wildlife. The League is a militant association that owns natural reserves, an educational center, carries out awareness activities, manages the only Wildlife Care Center in Brussels, and advocates for improved conservation legislation, urban planning, and animal welfare.
To coordinate and develop its external marketing and communication, to increase its visibility, we are recruiting a full-time Marketing and Communication Officer (CDD) with possibility of CDI. You will be responsible for the Marketing and Communication Department of the League.
Main functions:
In consultation and agreement with the Director and the team in place, you coordinate the organization and implementation of marketing and external communication actions of the League. You take the necessary initiatives to achieve communication goals based on campaigns and militancy actions, as well as other communication needs decided by the Administration, Bureau or operational team.
In consultation with the Director, your main missions will be:
- Develop and coordinate marketing strategy Elaborate and implement external communication strategy Promote League activities through all means of communication, both printed and digital, including videos Develop campaign for our projects 'Hospitals for Wildlife' (Brussels and Namur) Develop militancy actions with the Militance Department of the League Create a 'members' plan to increase membership and loyalty Develop social networks and coordinate their animation Develop and manage product communication through existing tools (e-commerce site, social media, product catalog, magazine 'Man and Bird', stands and other events, …) Coordinate publication of magazine 'Man and Bird'.
Profile:
- University or non-university degree in marketing and/or communication or you have experience in this field; a specialization in associative marketing, environmental communication or a similar function in another association is appreciated.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in an equivalent position
- You are attentive, proactive, efficient, autonomous and rigorous, able to work alone and as part of a team.
- You are very organized, meticulous, and organized.
- You have excellent mastery of internet and mobile communication tools (including social media).
- You are comfortable with both print and web communication, including videos. The digital is your strong point (SEO, SEA, WordPress, Facebook, Instagram, e-commerce, …), in short you are a digital native !
- A plus: you are passionate about birds and their protection, you have very good knowledge in the field of nature and wildlife. You are an ornithologist.
- A plus: you have your 'guide nature' diploma or equivalent (aggregation in sciences,…).
- You like to animate, share, explain. You have a good sense of pedagogy.
- You have impeccable spelling and excellent writing skills.
- You have strong affinities for nature protection and the associative sector.
- You are not afraid to speak in public, interviews do not scare you.
- Knowledge of Dutch and English is an asset.
- You have a driving license. You are available immediately.
