Air Transportation Officer H/F

The air transportation officer is an officer who takes charge of the logistical management of material, personnel, and military cargo transiting by air. He/she works within a airbase or squadron, in direct link with crews, technicians, operational units, and logistics commands.
He/She ensures that everything that flies goes according to the rules: conforming material, well-conditioned, safely loaded, at the right place and time.

A salary equal between man and woman at post and equivalent hierarchical level.

To start your career as an air transportation officer, the job training includes:

- Initial military training is 12 weeks at the Air School in Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône).
- Your professional training presents itself as follows: 2 weeks of specialization within the Interarmies Aerial Transit Instruction Center (CITIA) in Istres.
- You will also have complementary training for multimodal transit operations at the Military Schools of Bourges.

You will follow a paid training:
After passing the entry tests, you are fully integrated into the Air and Space Army's personnel. As such, you benefit from your full salary during the entire duration of the training until obtaining the required certifications to start your job as a radar technician analyst.

As an air transportation officer, you will be expected to:

- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the loading and unloading of military cargo by air;
- Verify compliance, labeling, and conditioning of shipments before embarkation;
- Use logistics tracking software, establish transport documents, and manage shipment flows;
- Supervise a team of handlers, ensure load distribution in aircraft;
- Ensure respect for safety standards related to transportation, including in war zones or OPEX.
