Job description

Context:

ENSTA, an institution of higher education and research under the Ministry of the Armed Forces, develops training, research, and innovation activities in the fields of defense and security, transport, energy, maritime activities, digital, and health.

The school, located on two campuses, in Paris-Saclay and Brest, is a member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Ranked among the Top 10 engineering schools in France, its mission is:

  •          the training of civilian and military engineering students, managers, and PhDs for the public and private sectors,

  •          high-level research and innovation in close conjunction with the industry of major sovereignty sectors within 6 training and research units (UFR).

 

Within the communication department, the job holder implements the event communication strategy defined with the communication department and other school departments, within ENSTA and its two campuses, targeting staff, students, and campus visitors. They create and evolve various communication materials, digital or print, and key events to promote the school's activities and foster a sense of belonging to ENSTA and IP Paris. They enable the various departments to gain autonomy to improve information dissemination. The job holder is also responsible for implementing internal communication actions on the Paris-Saclay campus, co-managing the unit with their counterpart on the Brest campus, and in liaison with the communication department.

The job holder will be assigned to the Paris-Saclay Campus in Palaiseau.

Missions / Main Activities:

Under the authority of the Deputy Director of Communication, the job holder will be in charge of the following main missions:

  • Propose concepts, plan, design, and manage events (in-person, remote, hybrid) that meet the institution's strategic challenges

  • Track internal and external event requests, in conjunction with the Activity Support Unit:

  • Verify the feasibility of events, room availability, quote requests when necessary (caterer or other service providers) within the established budgets

  • Produce all communication materials related to events (visuals, mailings, etc.)

  • Advise and support organizers, lead steering committees where applicable

  • Coordinate service providers

  • ·Ensure the smooth running of events (check setup, follow up with speakers, signage, etc.)

  • Implement event evaluation with precise indicators and reporting

Internal Communication (co-management):

  • Recommend and implement internal communication strategies to support the deployment of the School's strategic projects

  • Co-manage and lead internal media, including intranets and digital signage, and where applicable, carry out redesign projects in coordination with contributing departments

  • Ensure the proper internal dissemination of mailings from the service's activities and IP Paris via the Brevo platform

  • In conjunction with the HR department, contribute to the development of the employer brand and the onboarding of new employees

Ancillary Missions / Activities:

  • Contribute to any communication department activities, particularly event-related or promotional (forums, trade shows...) which may take place in the evening or on weekends depending on the service's needs

  • Possible travel between the Brest and Paris-Saclay campuses for missions

  • Participate in the institution's Quality initiative

  • Contribute to the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative within the scope of their missions and activities within the School.

Master's degree (M2) or specialized Master's in Communication (CELSA, Sciences Po, Business School, University...) and with solid experience (10 years) in internal and event communication.

Positions open to candidates:

Contractual employee for a 3-month fixed-term contract starting January 4, 2027, as part of a maternity leave replacement.

Full-time position (25 annual leave days, 23 RTT days annually)

ENSTA resulted from the merger on January 1, 2025, of ENSTA Paris and ENSTA Bretagne. Its headquarters are located in Palaiseau (91), on the Paris-Saclay campus, and it has another campus in Brest. It is implementing new engineering programs on its two campuses (Paris-Saclay and Brest) for the academic year 2026.
