Head of Hardware Competence Center for Space Systems (M/F)

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be in charge of the competence center dedicated to the electrical and avionics systems of satellites.

Your objective: manage teams, develop skills, guarantee the quality of architectures, and contribute to project performance.

You will also be directly involved in projects as a system architect.

Your main responsibilities

Management and Leadership

• Manage and support technical teams specialized in electrical and avionics.

• Allocate resources and manage team workload across different projects.

• Lead integration and testing activities.

• Monitor team performance and improve their efficiency.

• Provide your expertise to projects as a system architect.

Skills Development

• Define and implement the competence center roadmap.

• Identify necessary skills and support their development.

• Evolve design methods and tools used by the teams.

Performance and Innovation

• Ensure the performance, quality, and robustness of proposed solutions.

• Ensure consistency of electrical (EPS) and avionics (CDH) architectures.

• Capitalize on developed solutions and technologies for reuse in future projects.

• Participate in bid responses: technical choices, architecture, and costing.

• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.

Your profile

• Higher education in engineering, systems, electronics, electrical, or a similar field.

• 8 to 10 years of experience in the development of electrical and/or avionics architectures for satellites.

• Significant experience in managing technical teams, hierarchically or functionally.

• Good knowledge of complex systems and space technologies.

• Good understanding of satellite architecture and its performance challenges.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
