Electrical Department Manager

On behalf of one of our client companies, a consolidated reality and a point of reference in the design, construction, and installation of complete plants for the extrusion of non-ferrous metals, we are looking for a resource to be included in the role of Electrical Department Manager. The selected candidate will be in charge of coordinating and supervising the operational activities of the department, ensuring the correct execution of electrical work in compliance with technical, quality standards, and company procedures. Main duties - Planning and management of the activities of the Electrical Department, with the assignment of workloads and definition of operational priorities, in order to guarantee compliance with deadlines and production continuity. - Preparation and verification of materials based on electrical diagrams and technical specifications. - Operational support for wiring activities, including cable cutting and termination operations, preparation of cable ducts, installation of components, and assembly. - Execution of on-board machine wiring in the workshop and support in resolving any critical issues during the installation phases at the customers' premises. - Collaboration with the automation team during the machine testing phases, providing technical assistance, without the need for programming skills. - Reporting and opening of any non-conformities related to electrical diagrams, materials, or operating procedures. Further responsibilities in team management - Verification and approval of timesheets. - Management and authorization of holidays and permits. - Monitoring compliance with internal procedures and company policies. Requirements - Diploma or professional qualification in the electrical/electronic field or equivalent qualification. - Experience in the metalworking sector, preferably gained on complex plants and machinery. - Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and knowledge of the main reference regulations.
