Maintenance Manager

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is at the forefront of making Amazon a company synonymous with innovation. As Amazon evolves and adapts to every type of change, this team updates our tools and technological solutions. As a Senior RME Technician, you will help us stay at the cutting edge by adopting the most innovative technologies and identifying new ways of working for maximum efficiency. The role involves careful monitoring of processes to ensure compliance with our high standards. You will also contribute to improving existing standards through ad hoc updates.

Key job responsibilities
Main responsibilities

• You will demonstrate best practices for safe machinery operation, monitoring teams to ensure everyone follows correct processes.
• You will monitor equipment performance through visual inspections, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance interventions, scheduling corrective maintenance interventions as needed.
• You will supervise the technical staff present during the shift, fostering their development and acting as the primary point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• You will troubleshoot machinery issues to reduce operational disruptions and enable packages to be processed as quickly as possible.
• You will assist in defining strategies for continuous improvement of systems and standardization of processes across our European network.

A day in the life
Throughout all shifts, you will lead your team, ensuring everyone has the necessary equipment and that it is in perfect working order. To this end, you will monitor processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and carrying out preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of the machinery.

Based on your observations during shifts, you will propose improvement modifications to increase system efficiency and productivity, and then implement them in your role across all European sites. You will also monitor processes using tools like Scada to ensure performance, as well as collaborating closely with line managers in handling administrative tasks.

Your work will take place in one of our operational centers and will be organized in shifts, sometimes on weekends and at night. As you gain experience in this dynamic field at Amazon, you will have all the credentials to advance your career in more senior roles.

About the team
The role is based in Cividate al Piano (BG) and a one-time monetary relocation package is provided for those moving from other regions.
