Provides respiratory care to patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, including but not limited to: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, bronchiectasis, and cystic fibrosis. Utilizes various respiratory therapy modalities, including but not limited to: aerosol therapy, humidification, and oxygen therapy. Performs routine maintenance and quality control checks on respiratory therapy equipment. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Provides patient education and counseling on respiratory therapy treatments and self-care techniques. JOB REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field, and a current RRT certification. Must have at least 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with a focus on critical care and/or pediatric respiratory therapy. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
