Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Resource Manager, Business and Data Analysts to join the Digital Transformation team within Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a fixed-term, full-time contract until 18 December 2026.

This role offers flexibility, with hybrid working arrangements available.

As Resource Manager, you will manage the capacity, skills, and allocation of Business and Data Analysts across projects and initiatives to ensure optimal utilisation and high performance. You will also act as a Scrum Master for designated teams, fostering agile practices and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Allocate and optimise Business and Data Analyst resources across multiple projects.
  • Forecast resource needs and balance workloads to ensure timely delivery.
  • Act as Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
  • Lead recruitment and HR management for the Business and Data Analyst team.
  • Establish and run a Community of Practice to share best practices and tools.

You will be a proactive and strategic leader with strong people management skills and a passion for enabling successful project delivery. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can build strong relationships across business and IT.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in resource management, business/data analysis, or PMO.
  • Experience allocating resources across multiple projects and acting as Scrum Master.
  • Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities; adept with tools like Jira.
  • Previous experience in a higher education environment is desirable.
