Residential Painter

Job Title: Residential Painter Primary Location: Victoria, BC Job status: Full-Time, Permanent Pacific Cove Properties is a BC-owned and operated property management and development company providing rental accommodation to almost 3000 families and individuals in communities throughout British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. We are seeking a skilled Residential Painter to join our residential maintenance team in Victoria, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing painting and related tasks for our residential properties, including apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes. This will include, but not be limited to, the following duties: • Painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential properties, including walls, ceilings, trim, and doors. • Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary. • Applying primer and/or paint to surfaces, using appropriate techniques and materials. • Removing old paint and/or wallpaper, as required. • Cleaning up after painting, including disposing of waste and materials. • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. • Collaborating with other maintenance staff to complete tasks and projects. • Performing other related duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and related tasks, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the trade. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a post-secondary certificate or degree in a related field (e.g. painting and decorating, construction) would be an asset. The successful candidate will also possess a valid BC driver's license and a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
