Resident Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their team on key infrastructure and urban development projects.

• More than 5 years' experience as a Resident Engineer on civil, urban, and road projects

• Professional registration as Pr Eng / Pr Tech / Pr Techni is essential

• Proven experience as the Engineer’s Representative on-site

• Solid working knowledge of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO/COTO, SANS 1200, and project-specific documentation)

• In-depth understanding of Conditions of Contract (GCC 2015)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Strong experience in handling contractual matters and claim evaluations

• Familiarity with modern project management techniques

• Relevant experience with City of Cape Town projects will be advantageous

• Ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environment

• Work with a reputable engineering consultancy on impactful civil infrastructure projects
