Introductory text

Are you an ex-Marechaussee and does camaraderie still run through your veins? Then come and put your knowledge and experience back to use at the Marechaussee as a Reservist Marechaussee (Re-entrant), so you can support us with various tasks on a part-time basis. As if you had never left!

What you will do

As a former colleague, you know better than anyone that the Marechaussee guards the safety of the State and how important it is to have a good team around you. That is why we are happy to welcome you back to our team. As a Reservist, you can support your colleagues with their tasks on a part-time basis.

We will start a tailor-made program with you in which we look at what you and the Marechaussee need. Depending on your background, you can be deployed for various tasks. In any case, you will work again in your familiar, dynamic work environment.

PLUS POINTS OF THIS FUNCTION

• Salary: you will receive an hourly wage equal to that of a professional military personnel of the Royal Marechaussee and depending on your rank. Are you going on exercise or deployment? Then you will receive an exercise or deployment allowance in addition to your salary.
• Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as at the Royal Marechaussee.
• Good secondary employment conditions: belonging to the appointment, such as commuting allowance, pension accrual, holiday allowance and year-end bonus.

Where you will work

As a Reservist Marechaussee (Re-entrant), depending on your background, you will be deployed for various tasks in your familiar work environment, initially at one of the airports in the Netherlands. This is a part-time position where you will be deployed (mainly) on weekends. The working hours vary: you sometimes have morning shifts from 06:00 AM and sometimes late shifts until 10:00 PM. For this operational function, you will work at least one Saturday and/or Sunday every month and at least 18 shifts per year. In addition, you must take into account five mandatory IBT training sessions and/or theory days.

Please note: Even as an ex-colleague, you must meet a number of requirements. To be eligible for a position as a Reservist at the Marechaussee, you must have been honorably discharged in the past. It is also important that you are still physically and mentally fit. Depending on how long you have been out of service, you will undergo a shortened or full medical examination. A security investigation is also part of the selection procedure.

Note: We believe it is important that you make a well-considered choice to become a Reservist. A condition for applying is that you have attended an information session, even if you are an ex-military personnel (re-entrant). Please look under ‘Events’ and register for the ‘Information session Marechaussee Reservists’. If you are an actively serving military member and are considering leaving the service, the information session is not mandatory, but you are most welcome!
