This is what you'll do

As a Reservist Bouwkunde, you will work at 101 Geniebataljon (101 Gnbat) and never work alone: you will be added to an existing team. You will work together with full-time colleagues and other reservists who, as you will quickly notice, are extremely looking forward to your arrival and especially the experience you bring! With you, Defense is bringing in an expert within your discipline, and you will be deployed for building and maintaining camps and protective constructions etc. All of this is necessary because we want our people and allies to work, stay, and move safely.

This is where you'll work

You will be stationed at 101 Gnbat in Wezep. 101 Gnbat consists of two construction companies in Wezep and one bridge company in Hedel. The chance is great that you will not only be deployed in the Netherlands but also abroad to contribute to exercises and deployment of Dutch military personnel.

If you have already been a military personnel and less than six years ago left service, you may possibly skip parts of the selection procedure and start working directly. You will be appointed at the rank with which you left service. If you are not yet a former military personnel, follow the procedure as described on werkenbijdefensie.nl and follow after positive advice the General Military Training for reservists basic (ARB) of two weeks.

Your starting salary depends on your age, education level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, so does your salary.
