Then the position of reservist at the 10th Infantry Battalion Guarding Security National Reserve Corps is the perfect solution! Sounds like an ideal combination? Then read on quickly!

What you will do

As a Reservist in the Infantry Battalion Guarding Security, you can be deployed for guarding and security during emergencies in your immediate living environment. You can also be deployed to provide assistance in maintaining public order or in emergency services such as flood disasters or forest fires. Any deployment abroad will only happen with your permission.

As an Infantry Guarding Security soldier, you perform your work alongside your civilian job or studies. It is therefore a part-time job based on a zero-hours contract. You will receive an annual plan in advance so that you can coordinate your work well with your work or studies and your home situation. On average, as a soldier, it will cost you about 300 hours per year, divided over two training evenings and one or two Saturdays per month. In addition, you will have a multi-day exercise lasting from Thursday or Friday to Saturday, on average two to three times a year. Other deployments or support services will cost you approximately 60 hours per year and can be during weekdays.

Before you start, you will follow the General Reservist Basic Training at one of the military training centers in the Netherlands (2 weeks). After that, you can grow into a leadership position as a non-commissioned officer or officer, provided you meet the requirements for that position. A job with the Natres is voluntary, but certainly not without obligation! So consider carefully whether this is achievable for you.

Note: A condition for applying is that you have attended an information session. For this, look under 'Events' and register for a live information session National Reserve Corps (event) near you. Finished with the information session? On the first day of each month, we publish new information sessions on the website in all regions. Actively serving military personnel are also most welcome, so they can make a well-considered choice to become a reservist when they leave service, but an information session is not mandatory for them.

PLUS POINTS OF THIS POSITION

• Salary: In addition to your hourly wage, you will receive a holiday allowance, year-end bonus, and pension accrual pro rata to the number of hours worked. You will also receive a travel allowance on a duty travel basis.
• Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as at the Ministry of Defence.
• Challenge: you will be deployed to increase flexibility, deployability, operational continuity, and to handle peak loads.

You will work at the 10th Infantry Battalion Guarding Security. If you have a preference for a unit, you can indicate this in your application. We will try to take this into account. Currently, there are placement opportunities at the following locations:
