This is what you'll do

As a Reservist with the Infantry Bewaken Beveiligen, you can be deployed for surveillance and security at calamities in your immediate living environment. You can also be deployed to provide assistance in maintaining public order or during emergency services such as flood or forest fires. Any foreign deployment will only take place with your consent.

As a military member of the Infantry Bewaken Beveiligen, you will perform your work alongside your civilian job or study. It is therefore a part-time job based on a 0-hour contract. You will receive a year planning in advance so that you can adjust your working hours to your work or study and living situation. On average, it costs you as a soldier around 300 hours per year, divided over two training evenings and one or two Saturdays per month. Additionally, you will have on average two to three times a year a multi-day training from Thursday or Friday to Saturday. Other deployment or support work costs you approximately 60 hours per year and can take place during the week.

Before you start working, you will follow the General Reservists Basic Training at one of the military training centers in the Netherlands (2 weeks). After that, you can grow into a leadership position as an underofficer or officer, provided you meet the requirements for that function. A job with the Natres is then both voluntary and not free! Consider carefully whether this is feasible for you.

Note: A condition to be able to apply is that you have followed a briefing. Look for this at ‘Events’ and sign up for a live briefing Korps Nationale Reserve (event) near your location. Briefing complete? On the first day of each month, we will publish new briefings on our website in all regions. Active military personnel are also warmly welcome to make a well-considered choice to become a reservist when they leave service, but a briefing is not required for them.

PLUSPUNTS OF THIS FUNCTION

• Salaris: above your hourly salary you will receive a vacation allowance, end-of-year allowance and pension buildup. You will also receive a travel expense reimbursement on duty basis.
• Work atmosphere: nowhere do you belong to such a tight team of colleagues as at Defense.
• Challenge: you will be deployed for the enhancement of flexibility, deployability, operational continuation capacity and peak load absorption.

You'll work here

You will work at 10 Infantry Bewaken Beveiligen battalion. Do you have a preference for a unit? Then you can indicate this in your application. We will try to take that into account. At the moment, there are placement opportunities at the following locations:
