Research Project Administrator

Location: SAMS, Oban Contract Type: Fixed Term – 42 months Working Pattern: Full Time – 37 hours per week Salary Range: £26,444 - £29,605 per annum Closing date: 5th January 2026 The Role The Research Contracts team oversees a diverse portfolio of collaborative scientific research projects, including the ACCLIMATISE and MOSAIC projects. This role will deliver high-quality, effective administrative support to the team. Based in Oban, the post-holder will work closely with project managers and colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of these projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Research Contracts team, including but not limited to: • Coordinating meetings and events; • Maintaining accurate records and databases; • Providing general administrative support to the team; • Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations; • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders. The post-holder will also be responsible for providing administrative support to specific research projects, including but not limited to: • Coordinating project meetings and events; • Maintaining accurate records and databases; • Providing general administrative support to the project team; • Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations; • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly and as part of a team to achieve the goals of the Research Contracts team.
