Outside Sales Representative: Sales, Construction, and Industrial Products (Off-Highway)

Job description

Representative of sales: sales, construction, and industrial products (off-highway) sells W.W. Products Williams through relationships with original equipment manufacturers and end-users of equipment driven by our product offer, determining the needs of clients and combining solutions for these clients.

Responsibilities and essential duties include the following. Other functions may be assigned.


  • The selected candidate will have experience working in extended sales cycles and interacting with OEM directors for engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Call representatives of the client management, such as engineers, contractors, and/or other professional and technical personnel in commercial, industrial, and other related establishments and territories assigned.
  • Support post-sales for spare parts and service opportunities by calling distributors and end-users.
  • Prepare and provide product information and proposals/quotations that meet client requirements to ensure product or service orders.
  • Review project plans and specifications and other client documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or product comparisons based on the client's use of the equipment or services proposed.
  • Provide technical information and familiarization with the product to client employees.
  • Offer technical sales presentations, respond to technical questions, and provide technical analysis for potential and existing projects in collaboration with engineers and/or factory representatives.
  • Provide resolution to technical project problems.
  • Maintain market intelligence on the competition, advising the Sales Manager on competitive activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and programs to increase sales and revenue.
  • Reviews and follows up on potential and prospect clients developed through consultations, referrals, or other customer development tactics.
  • Attends relevant industry trade shows and conferences to solicit new business.
  • Completes all necessary reports through reports and/or CRM system to create records of all client contacts, sales calls, and opportunities.
  • Maintains the technical expertise necessary to represent and sell all OEM products and services offered by W.W. Williams.

Work experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; More than 2 years of experience and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office package.
