Technical Development Representative
Job description
This role executes field activities for generating quality data by conducting trials, aligned with the assigned biology program. This includes the different development stages (1A, 2A, 2B, and 3), with the objective of supporting technical positioning and business decision-making in each of the product development phases.
Main Responsibilities,
Planning and Documentation:
- Understand and document the technical objectives of the biology plan.
- Design and develop the annual field trial program based on established technical objectives.
Protocol Development and Review:
- Participate in the creation and review of protocols under the peer review scheme, ensuring compliance with good experimental practices.
Field Trial Execution:
- Establish, apply, and evaluate trials according to assigned protocols.
- Follow operational standards (SOPs) and avoid deviations during execution.
Data Management in ARM:
- Collaborate in the development of protocols in the ARM system.
- Ensure that data collected in each trial are processed in ARM and uploaded to the database in a timely manner.
Data Review:
- Participate in the review of biology plan data.
- Serve as a reviewer (peer review) of the generated information, according to annual assignments.
Knowledge Transfer:
- Contribute to knowledge transfer activities (Product Knowledge Transfer - PKT).
- Present data generated in the field to marketing and demand generation teams, according to the annual transfer plan.
Crop Area Management:
- Select, prepare, and operate internal cultivation areas (satellites).
- Establish contact with cooperating farmers when necessary to facilitate trials.
Budgetary and Operational Management:
- Execute the assigned budget and establish the monthly forecast.
- Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines.
Compliance with Standards and Custody:
- Observe operational standards and good experimental practices.
- Be responsible for the custody of samples and materials related to the trials.
Position Requirements,
Academic Background:
- Agronomist Engineer.
Specialty:
- Agricultural Parasitology, Crop Protection, Plant Science, Soil Science, Plant Nutrition.
Professional Experience:
- Previous experience in field trials, management of experimental protocols, and data analysis.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in ARM or other experimental data management platforms.
- Knowledge of operational standards and good experimental practices.
Skills:
- Organization and planning.
- Teamwork and effective communication.
- Critical analysis and problem-solving.
