Job Description

We are looking for a polyvalent Dispatcher to play a key role at the heart of our operations. A true conductor, you will be the central point of contact between clients, transporters, warehouse, and supervision teams to ensure fluid, efficient, and excellence-oriented operations.

Your Role

  • Reporting to the control office, you will:
  • provide high-level customer service,
  • coordinate expeditions efficiently,
  • manage documentation and billing rigorously,
  • and manage our entire fleet of trailers.

Your ability to prioritize, communicate, and keep a broad view will make all the difference.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Welcome and serve clients at the counter with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Respond effectively to requests, questions, and special situations.
  • Coordinate delivery of loading sheets to warehouse teams.
  • Validate document conformity and quantities loaded (B/L and electronic signature).

Order Management and Expeditions

  • Plan, prioritize, and track pick-up and courier orders according to deadlines (cut-off).
  • Maintain a rigorous follow-up of tasks in the AX system to keep work up-to-date.
  • Verify order conformity upon return of loads.
  • Report any anomaly or non-localized transfer quickly to the supervision team.

Billing and Administrative Management

  • Process billing with precision in the dispatch module.
  • Classify and archive operational and administrative documents.
  • Provide clear and reliable information to various stakeholders.

Coordination with Transporters

  • Manage pickups with transporters (Puro, FedEx, Canpar, etc.).
  • Communicate daily volumes to be shipped.
  • Maintain proactive communication to avoid delays and errors.

Fleet Management of Trailers

  • Maintain real-time tracking of trailer locations.
  • Plan shunt movements and optimize dock usage.
  • Maintain up-to-date management tables for gates and locations.
  • Supervise maintenance, inspections, repairs, and SAAQ inspections.
  • Keep detailed records (mileage, maintenance, history).
  • Apply best practices in safety and optimization.

Communication and Continuous Improvement

  • Participate actively in the daily morning meeting at 7:30 am.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse and supervision teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose concrete solutions.
