Repair Technician

We are seeking a Repair Technician to join our dedicated team at Tait Communications. In this role, you'll ensure our products meet the highest standard of alignment, testing, and repair before being shipped to customers around the world.

You will play a key role in diagnosing and repairing returned products, maintaining accurate records of work completed, and supporting continuous improvement in product quality and performance.

The duties of the role will include:

  • Aligning products to specified performance levels within the production area
  • Diagnosing and correcting manufacturing faults to restore full functionality
  • Maintaining detailed records of product work and reporting common faults to Product Support
  • Repairing and testing products returned from customers
  • Monitoring the performance of test equipment and reporting issues promptly
  • Mentoring and supporting junior technical staff
  • Providing proactive feedback and input to Product Support and Product Development teams to improve design and manufacturability

Required:

  • Proven experience diagnosing and remedying production faults quickly and effectively
  • Ability to interpret and apply circuit diagrams and schematics for fault-finding
  • Broad understanding of the fundamentals of technical radio systems

Preferred: We are specifically looking for graduates from UC's Mechatronics Engineering program, and/or Ara's Engineering Technology program.
