Remote - Senior software engineer

About World Business Lenders (www.wbl.com) World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. As a Senior software engineer at WBL, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining our software applications. This includes but is not limited to: • Developing new features and enhancements to existing software applications using various programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery. • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to software applications. • Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our software development processes. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior software engineer. • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies. • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, etc. • Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc. • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
