Remote Physics Researcher (PhD)

Job description

Remote contract for PhDs in Physics, Applied Physics, or related fields. Work on cutting-edge projects with top AI labs while earning $50/hour, fully remote, with flexible weekly hours. No AI experience required Role Overview: Help fine-tune large language models (like ChatGPT) using your physics skills. You’ll design problems, check how well AI solves them, and work with researchers to build better benchmarks. Responsibilities: Design advanced physics problems to test AI performance (e.g., mechanical systems, quantum mechanics, or thermodynamics). Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of physics-based problems for AI evaluation. Collaborate with researchers to identify areas where AI can improve its understanding of physical phenomena. Work closely with the research team to develop and refine benchmarks that accurately measure AI’s capabilities. Requirements: PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, or related field. Strong understanding of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics. Ability to design and solve complex physics problems. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with researchers. Experience working with large datasets and programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
